The Maritime Experiential Museum in Sentosa Islands, Singapore is a historic journey through the ancient maritime culture of Singapore. Depicted through an interesting 3D motion picture with virtual sound and motion effects, the Maritime Experiential Museum actually gives you a live experience of the many events that the ship-men would face on their long journeys on the seas.
The Maritime Collection
The experience of the Maritime Experiential Museum begins with the large galleria on the either side of the museum, showcasing the shipments that the magnificently giant ships would carry for months together. The ships would be out on explorations, trading, and collecting goods along their maritime journey, sometimes coming back to the shore and moving back again into the seas, for more such adventures.
Large sized effigies, spices, liquor barrels, cloth, bamboo, wood, jewels and food made up for the logistics of these ships apart from the huge manpower that would haul these ships against the large waves.
While sitting inside the theater, the graphics and the effects along with the story line creates almost the actual effects. There is no better way you can make children to learn history than taking them through the virtual tour of the events.
The interior of the ships had several compartments where the goods would be stacked in order, which would require for the shipmen to survive months on the sea.
