Why Munnar is one of the Most Exotic Holiday Destinations

Hill slopes covered with tea gardens, smooth curves, clear blue skies, crystal clear waterfalls, and a slight chill in the air, that’s what, makes Munnar an interesting place. In fact, Kerala is the only state in India that has a hill station, backwaters, coastline and jungle all packed into one. And topping up with the sumptuous and mouth watering sea-food. This place can make couples go topsy-turvy, and no wonder, Kerala still happens to be the most preferred honeymoon destinations in India. Here’s how you can make the most of your trip in Kerala.

Arrive at Kochi International Airport/ Kochi Railway Station

The most convenient way to reach Kerala is Kochi International Airport or the Kochi Railway Station. There is an airport in Munnar as well, however,  Kochi happens to be more of a metro and it fetch you a better deal rather than travelling to Munnar directly, as it has limited connectivity.

Just two and a half hours drive from Kochi airport can take you to Munnar hills. The area clearly demarcates itself with the gentle hill slopes covered with tea gardens and spice nurseries all around. The ideal time to go to Kerala is between October and March. After March, it may get sultry and humid. But, Munnar, nevertheless, continues to be cool and favorable to visit.

Staying at Munnar

The Munnar hills are famous for their resort styled hotels and accommodations. There are many to choose from but this checklist will help you to plan a little more.
