I spent one of the best times in New Delhi. Staying near South Delhi allows access to lot of heritage places around, one of them is the Baha’i House of Worship. It is one of the most visited landmarks of New Delhi, with more than 8000 to 10000 visitors daily. Taking a photo-tour with my family on a Sunday was the best way to enjoy the weekend.

Designed in the form of a lotus, the Baha’i House of Worship is essentially a place for conveying prayers of any faith. It does not house any deities, or holy books inside, instead, it is just a large hall from inside where people from all walks of life are allowed to enter, spend some time is tranquility and connect with one’s inner self.

My wife and I decided on a Sunday evening to visit Baha’i temple. Being close by, it was a perfect place to enjoy a Sunday evening. Also, evenings are the perfect moments when the glory of the temple comes out even more in the fading sunset. Can’t help but clicking this click at the entry.

This photo shows the Baha’i Temple overlooking the entire landscaping of the complex. The gardens have been beautifully maintained with smooth grass lawns, beautiful flowers with vivid colors, adding beauty to the temple premises.

The best way to enjoy this place is to spend some time inside the temple, and then take a stroll in the park bare feet. The smooth grass gently scrubs the feet, as we walk on it, and the gentle breeze gradually sheds away all the stress of the mundane routine.

It was dusk as we started to move out, the sun had set and the low lighting set up a glittering view of the architecture in the silhouette, putting the structure in its utmost glory.
